Calling all artistic and creative talents! Tiger Radler wants your cool and refreshing contribution for a short video montage. All you have to do is send in a picture and/or a 15-seconds video on what you consider as refreshing.
The #WhatsRefreshing campaign drives at bringing together the creativity of young and aspiring local talents through their submissions. The idea was developed by Melissa Toh, an aspiring photographer and filmmaker whose time abroad made her curious about the talents and views of her fellow Malaysians.
“I’ve lived in Australia and America, and have captured—through my lenses—the wondrous beauty those countries have to offer. The experience of living abroad has opened my eyes to seeing the world differently and I’m interested in Malaysians’ point of view on things,” said Toh, a RMIT University and New York Film Academy graduate.
“Malaysians need to take a step back and enjoy the simple things in life. They are constantly up and about, not taking the time to relish in new adventures and experiences. Through the #WhatsRefreshing concept, we seek to give fans a look beyond their regular day-to-day ins and outs; it’s like a holiday for the mind,” the 26-year-old said.
Photos and/or 15-seconds videos for the #WhatsRefreshing campaign can be submitted today until November 28 2014 at www.whatsrefreshing.com.my. The entries must tell a story of what is refreshing from the participant’s point of view. The best photos and videos will be selected by Toh. She will then edit them into a 2-minute video to be shared on the official campaign website.
Videos from five selected participants will be shortlisted and they will each receive a special edition Tiger Radler T-shirt, plus two tickets to the exclusive Pop-Up Party by Tiger Radler happening this December.
