That seems reasonable!
You’ve really got to wonder what is wrong with the world when a man could punch his friend to death because the friend decided that poking his girlfriend would be a good idea. He was clearly very wrong.
In recent news, it was reported that a British man beat his friend to death after learning that the victim made a flirtatious gesture on social media, which is also known as “poking.” Scott Humphrey, 27, started beating at Richard Rovetto, 29, during their ride home from a night out, which was when he learnt what Rovetto had done on Facebook.
Humphrey apparently confronted his friend by asking, “If you’re such a good friend then why did you poke my missus?” The heated attack turned from bad to worse and Rovetto eventually died in the hospital hours later. Humphrey who initially tried to make a run for it, decided to do the right thing by turning himself in later on.
Humphrey was sentenced to four years and four months in jail for this crime and that’s because the judge was sympathetic to Humphrey’s regret.
Moral of the story: Don’t go poking people’s girlfriends on Facebook or just get more sane friends.
