Let’s be honest, the thought of working out after a long day at work can sometimes be a little daunting.
Many people prefer to workout after being at the office for an entire day because let’s face it, nobody wants to wake up earlier than we have to. And especially not for a rigorous session at the gym! But despite what you may think, it is most definitely more beneficial to shed some sweat in the wee hours of the morning and here are the reasons why:
1) For those who love happy hour and prefer to workout after a few glasses of wine, you should know that alcohol can affect your performance at the gym.
2) You’ll find it easier to concentrate on your workout if you do it first thing in the morning as you’re less than likely to get distracted.
3) Gyms are usually crowded after working hours and if you were to go early in the morning, you’ll avoid the gym’s rush hour and have a better time working on your fitness without having to wait for any machines.
4) After a workout your entire body feels great and that’s thanks to the rush of released endorphins. Feeling this way at the beginning of the day will motivate you to lead a ‘cleaner’ day by eating healthy.
5) You don’t have to wake up hours before work to go to the gym. You can also do some quick at home exercises. Setting aside 15 minutes will allow for some arm, abs and quick total-body workout!
