Apple just released an official statement on the bendable iPhone 6 Plus.
The company also claimed that only nine customers have actually complained about the issue, according to CNBC Tech.
“With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare,” Apple mentioned in a statement to The Huffington Post. The company said that it performs “rigorous tests throughout the entire development cycle,” that include “3-point bending, pressure point cycling, sit, torsion, and user studies.”
“iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use,” the statement said.
Perhaps, Apple has been under pressure to say something about the issue. Thus far, Apple users have had problems with making calls and using the phone’s fingerprint sensor.
Meanwhile, #bendgate continues to ripple through social media and news of bending iPhones are still garnering tons of buzz.
