Thank you all for your overwhelming support and encouragement after reading my post last week. *click here to read*
So many friends and followers on my social media sites have sent me personal messages asking me how I did it and wanting to join me for my workouts at Celebrity Fitness 🙂 I feel extremely honoured to have inspired the people around me.
The truth is, I fell ill during the weekend and was close to giving up. In fact, as I am writing my article now, I am coughing like a madwoman and have lost my voice.
From Day 1 itself my personal trainer, Jordan Tan has told me that EVERY single time I think of giving up I need to think of the thing that motivates me the MOST. He gave me an example, he said “What motivates me is when I see words of encouragement and friends liking my pictures on Instagram”.
During my training last week, I asked him “Jordan, what do you think is the main challenge for all those people you have trained?”
He told me, “MINDSET”
“Dieting and working out for a short period of time is easy but not everyone can do it for long-term.”
“Look at the people working out around us, the ones that look good are self-motivated and just keeps going even though they do not have a personal trainer next to them and look at the ones who are just sitting around texting on their phone, they are just wasting their time at the gym…”
Such “deep” advice coming from someone who is only 20 years old…
I would like to clarify that my gym selfies are taken for “work” purpose and as materials for my write up *coughs*denial mode*coughs*
Yet, Jordan is ABSOLUTELY right. Being a recent advocate of the Law of Attraction, I am on a journey to condition my mind towards more positivity instead of negativity.
For example, when Jordan tells me that it’s LEGS DAY I say “Bring it on baby!” instead of “Oh, no!”
So, speaking of inspiration and motivation, here are my top five favourite Instagram accounts to follow!
1. @linoralow
Linora is a good friend of mine whom I have known at a phase where both of us were actively performing in corporate “mini-musical” style shows. At lot of people ask us whether we are related since we both share the same name but we tell them that we are “sisters from another mother and father”. Linora is currently a radio announcer for Mix.fm and a sought after emcee especially for events regarding health and fitness.
2. @fayhokulani
Fay is someone that I have been introduced to at a few events when I was still actively blogging and attending events and launches. Trust me, she is as hot and pretty as she is in real life as she is in her Instagram pictures.
A few of my girlfriends have recommended to me Kayla’s Instagram account and I must say that the pictures are impressive! This 23-year old Australian has more than 1.2 million followers on her account! She also encourages her followers to commit to her 12-week guide which is available for purchase via her website.
Mary Helen Bowers was responsible for training actress Natalie Portman in the movie Black Swan. Being an ex-ballerina myself, I just loved all her beautiful on pointe pictures. Especially the ones with her baby bump and carrying her baby daughter, it just makes her followers go AWWWW…
5. @atiliaharon
Atilia is a Malaysian songstress and despite her petite size she has some crazy powerful vocals. She also has another talent – she’s a certified yoga teacher and runs a successful yoga studio!
