Woohoo, The Sims 4 is out now!
Some people are more lucky than others to have been able to get their hands on the game hours after its release, and you can already read tons of reviews on the game online.
The Create-A-Sim is beyond ah-may-zing, but it will also drive you insane! The level of control that you get over how your Sim looks like is so deep and detailed that you’d spend hours and hours AND hours trying to get him or her just right. There is a toggle and slider for almost everything on the Sim’s face, so good luck with that.
Aside from the annoying loading screens, the game is GORGEOUS! It shows up on the PC like a dream and the graphics appear way smoother compared to the previous Sims games. All the details are also more life-like now, so that’s a plus!
Building a house has never been easier as you now get more control over where you place your items. For all the previous Sims games, we’ve been so used to typing in cheat codes to be able to do that, but now, you can opt to move the object wherever you like without it locking to a grid. You can also move it up and down and you can overlap some objects too!
If you can’t be bothered to build your own rooms and insert the furniture on your own, you can now buy rooms that are pre-made! According to function, these rooms are also furnished. Too damn lazy to build your own house? You can now go to the gallery, check out what other people have created and if you like a particular house, you can just buy the entire house and place it on whichever lot you want. It’s pretty crazy!
Your Sims now have more emotions than ever before and it can be a good or bad thing. Every action or emotion would reflect or influence your Sim’s behaviour and your Sim’s emotions could change instantaneously.
Aside from that, the UI has completely changed, so it will take a little bit of getting used to!
Yeah, we feel your pain. There are no pools and all sorts of stuff, but we say give The Sims 4 a chance! It’s a pretty impressive change compared to all the previous instalments of this popular life-simulation game.
Pirates, this is just a heads up! Many people who have downloaded an illegal copy of The Sims 4 are being punished by Electronic Arts. It seems that EA has managed to permanently pixelate almost everything in the entire game when you’re playing a pirated copy. Having said that, we’re pretty sure these tech wizards have already patched the pixel gag out of the game.
Here are six gameplay videos you can watch to get a rough idea of how the brand new The Sims 4 looks like:
Can someone buy us a copy, pretty please? 🙁
