Yup, you read that right.

The owners of Southeast Asia’s first Moroccan version of a Turkish bath have opened a tearoom to complement and complete one’s spa experience at Hammam. Those who love the finer things in life can now end a decadent pampering session with a relaxing cup of Moroccan tea and savour authentic dishes from the North African country.

Stepping into the Hammam spa effortlessly transports you to Morocco and the tearoom delivers nothing less. Its design concept is inspired by the traditional Moroccan riad (courtyard house) – with open folding doors and terrace sections with typical lemon wood furniture. The bar is an exact replica of a traditional herbal tea stall that can be found in Marakesh’s largest marketplace, Djema el-Fna.

Hammam Tearoom’s concept is to cook authentic Moroccan recipes using traditional methods. Here, you’ll find quintessential Moroccan dishes such as Tangia of lamb that’s slow cooked in a jug using charcoal and Meshwi of lamb roasted in a mud oven.

Needless to say, the highlight of the tearoom is its extensive list of drinks and healthy smoothies. We recommend the Avocado and Dried Dates Smoothie, a classic Moroccan combination that is rich and comforting. Tea-wise, take your pick from fun names such as Malika de la Rosa and 1001 Bedtime Stories.

You’ll also be pleased to know that for years, Hammam Spa has been known to serve the best Moroccan Mint Tea and Baklava in town and for those who want to rent the venue for private functions, the restaurant can comfortably accommodate 40-45 people.
