As a musician, Jaso Derulo agrees that you sometimes have to wear your heart on your sleeve. Such is the case with “Blurred Lines” singer, Robin Thicke who’s been desperately trying to win back his wife, Paula Patton. The guy named an album after her and it’s all about the woman for crying out loud. In the album, the singer professes his love for the beautiful actress.
While many has criticized and made fun of Thicke, Jason Derulo feels for me the man and told E! News what he thought about Thicke’s persistence when it comes to rebuilding his marriage with Patton.
24-year-old Jason Derulo told E! News, “I think when somebody’s desperate, they’re desperate. I can’t knock him for trying. He’s trying everything to get his girl back, so I can’t knock him for that…I talked to him personally, and we’re not necessarily like the best of friends or anything, but you know, he mentioned something about that. So you can tell when somebody is in dire need of having that special person back. And I think that’s all it is.”
When he puts it that way, it sounds simple enough. But is it really wise to air your dirty laundry in the form of an album?
“As a musician, as a songwriter, that’s what we do. We put our hearts on our sleeves and what’s ever on our mind we just go to our safe zone, which is writing songs,” he explained. “So it seems to me that it’s right in line with what a creative person would actually do. I think if he wasn’t creative, then he wouldn’t be talking about it all but the fact that he’s a creative guy, that’s what’s on his mind and that’s what he’s going to talk about.”
What do you guys think? Is what Robin Thicke doing sweet or just desperate?
