Nothing beats walking around town in flip flops!
I personally love flip flops, the idea of walking around in comfortable, light weight rubber especially in a tropical climate like ours, it is the best! Flip flops also known as thongs, slippers or hawai chappal, have evolved from a basic footwear into fashion staple, that comes in various styles and shapes. From basics to dressy flip flops, there are just so many to choose from. You’ll definitely be spoilt for choice with this one. Here’s a list of flip flop brands that are not only comfortable but great value for money!
Havaianas
Let’s start of with one of the oldest brands around, Havaianas is a Brazilian flip-flops brand created in 1962. Currently there are more than 400 models and colours of sandals to choose from around the world. I actually have a couple of pairs myself and to date its one of the most comfiest pairs of flip flops I own. I highly recommend that everyone should own one!
FitFlop
Next up, a brand of flip flops that are more than just made from rubber. At FitFlop, they produce footwear that challenges a person’s gait and activate key stabilising muscles, with that in mind, they’ve created a multidensity Microwobbleboard™ midsole, and launched it in their first FitFlop sandal. That’s pretty cool!
iPANEMA
Here is another Brazilian brand which also started in the 1960’s. The inspiration behind the brand is drawn from the culture that emanates inland from the stunning beach, through the bustling streets of the Ipanema neighbourhood. It is from this relaxed and vibrant culture that the inspiration is derived for iPANEMA footwear.
Sanuk
Sanuk is known for its funky sense of style, lo-fi innovation, and delightfully irreverent humour. The brand is represented by an impressive roster of athlete-ambassadors including surfers Donavon Frankenreiter and Matt Meola, rock climbers Chris Sharma and Daniel Woods, and snowboarder Jeremy Jones. They are all about comfort and durability!
Fipper
A home-grown brand, Fipper has definitely established itself as Malaysia’s favourite slippers. And with a catchy motto, “Feel the Rubber”, it sure helps in capturing the public’s attention. Made from genuine Thai rubber, a pair of Flippers will only cost you less than RM15! Oh and with a variety of colours to choose from you would want to buy them all!
