Occupation: Assistant Restaurant Manager
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself, what you do etc.
PJ born and bred, currently an assistant manager at Hit & Mrs, Bangsar. Coffee enthusiasts, football fanatic, music, food, culture and foreign languages. I’m literally your average Joe. Was in the hotel line for eight years and I had the opportunity to work with Michelin star chefs from around the world. I’m a pretty easy going guy, making lame jokes is one of my hidden talents but when it comes to work I’m all focus [laughs].
2. What tickles your fancy?
Oh! I have too many [laughs]. But girls wearing football jersey just hits the spot [laughs].
3. Best song to get it on to?
Supersonic – Oasis
4. What is the first thing about a girl that catches your attention?
Her hair, eyes and smile. Sh*t I sound like a psychopath. But really I’m not *stares at you with creepy stalking eyes*
5. How did you decide on pursuing your career and why?
This is a tough one to answer. Well, I do have a long term plan, but when an opportunity comes by I tend to have a go with it. I am someone who are open to pretty much anything. I believe that in any career path you choose, you will definitely learn something. And I have found that hospitality is what I do best so far.
6. What’s that one thing about working in the F&B line you love?
The food! I mean you constantly work with food, whether or not your’re a chef or like me an assistant manger. And when you have been working in the F&B for so long, you build the relationship with food and you appreciate the art of food better. I personally think food is like a work of art. I hope that makes sense.
7. What is it about a girl you love the most?
Understanding and respect. Working in the F&B line, you tend to OT like crazy sometimes, and having an understanding girlfriend is important. My family is the world to me, so having a girl that respects my family and me is definitely an A+.
8. What is the craziest thing you have done in your life so far?
I moved to Dubai and worked there for four years. Oh and there was a time in my life where, I spread Marmite and chocolate on bread and ate that for breakfast.
9. If you could be dessert, which one would you be and why?
A chocolate lava cake! It doesn’t only look good on the outside but taste phenomenal after you cut it open. [laughs]
10. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Open my very own restaurant, happily married and speak fluent German.
Here’s a short video of the man himself.
