Bristol’s Park Street has been transformed into a giant water slide and we cannot be more jealous.
Just by the looks of it, the 300ft long water slide seems like pure fun. If only we could be there!
Members of the public hurtled down the slide with lilos, aided by tons of water and washing up liquid.
The slide was the idea of artist Luke Jerram as part of the Bristol initiative Make Sundays Special.
The only downside was that there were only 360 places up for grabs and nearly 100,000 people applied for the once in a lifetime chance to go down that water slide.
Jerram said, “We’d have to keep the slide open every day for eight months to let everyone who has applied have a go.”
The attraction, dubbed the “Park and Slide”, was built from plastic sheets and hay bales. Jerram called it “an architectural intervention”.
Pure genius!
