The award-winning restaurant The Fat Duck in Bray, UK will close its doors come December 2014. Now, it’s not all bad news, yes they will be closing their UK outlet but Heston Blumenthal and his entire Fat Duck team will be relocating to Australia for a massive six months.
In an unprecedented move for a restaurant of such renown, The Fat Duck will reside in Crown Resorts in Melbourne, Australia from February 2015 onwards. Melbourne will not be left empty handed upon The Fat Duck’s return to the UK, after their half- year sojourn. In the same location as the temporary The Fat Duck at Crown Melbourne Resort, Heston and Group Executive Head Chef Ashley Palmer-Watts will open Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, securing lasting ties with Australia.
