Perodua is aiming to sell 1,600 units of the newly launched Myvi XT monthly.
The 1.3-litre Myvi XT comes in two variants – the manual transmission GX1 (priced at RM41,936.45) and the auto transmission EZ1 costs RM44,936.45.
All prices are on-the-road with insurance.
The XT is targeted at university students and fresh graduates, which is the reason why Perodua has also launched its “What’s Up! Graduate” scheme offering a voucher worth RM500, a petrol card worth RM500 and a personal accident policy coverage for one year worth RM20,000 (terms and conditions apply).
“We believe that the launch of the Myvi XT and the ‘What’s Up! Graduate’ scheme will be a good combo as one is made for the young and the other will assist those starting out in owning a Myvi,” said Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, Perodua president and CEO.
Since it was launched in 2005, Myvi has sold over 750,000 units, making it Perodua’s best-selling model in the past eight years.
“The Perodua Myvi celebrates its ninth anniversary this year and it is Perodua’s flagship model consisting of 50% of our sales since 2006,” said Aminar.
The Myvi XT now comes in two new colours – Lime Green and Dazzling Red, new seat fabric, an improved audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity with a silver painted centre cluster and new alloy rims, and chrome front grille.
