Instead of telling yourself to lose weight as your New Year’s Resolution, focus towards living a healthy lifestyle instead. With more guidelines on knowing what is healthy and good for you, you’ll be pleased to know that it would possibly increase your chances to a fitter you by 20%.
So here are six health and fitness resolutions you should make for 2013.

500 Steps
Recent guidelines state that walking 10,000 steps per day could help you lose over 500 calories. If you don’t have the time, start small with at least 500 steps a day with the help of a pedometer. Each day before going to bed, record your footsteps in each day and challenge yourself so that you conquer more footsteps each day.

More Antioxidants
Antixidants in foods like vitamins, minerals and other nutrients will help you protect and repair your cells in your body, protecting you from free radicals. Free radicals can affect your immune system, making you prone to colds, infections and more. Pilates is a great form of exercise that helps you burn calories, tone your muscle and even strengthen your body.
