Time flies really quickly, don’t you think? First, we were celebrating New Year’s and now, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! But, remember, even if you’re not attached, it doesn’t make you less worthy than those who are. Like some of us at Lipstiq, we’re going on a fabulous night out with our girlfriends to celebrate! To help you look amazing, we’re showing you five easy makeup looks that you can do for that special occasion.
1. Sweet baby doll
Apply foundation and cover up any spots with a concealer, then powder to mattify the face. Next, fill in your brows with a light brown pencil or shadow to give your brows a softer look. Line your upper and lower lash line with a brown eyeliner instead of a black one so that it doesn’t look too harsh on the eyes. Curl and apply mascara to darken your lashes. With a dusty pink blush, swirl the colour directly on the apples of the cheeks. Finish off the look with a rosy pink lip liner and lipstick.
2. Violet rush
Apply foundation and concealer, then powder lightly so that it doesn’t set completely matte. Fill in your brows according to your natural brow shape. Then, use a black eyeliner and line your upper lash line with a fairly thick line, then wing it out slightly. For the bottom lash line, use a purple coloured eye pencil and line the entire lash line, giving your eyes a pop of colour. Gently smoke the purple colour out for a softer look. Apply mascara and put on some fake lashes if you prefer. Use a powder brush and lightly dust on some pink blush to bring out your cheekbones. Finally, line your lips with a lip liner and apply some rose pink lipstick.
3. Bronzed neutrals
To get this look, apply your foundation, concealer and lightly dust some loose powder over your T-zone. You don’t want to completely mattify your face as you still want to look glowy. First, use a shimmery white eye pencil on the inner corner of your eyes to brighten up your entire face. Apply some dark brown eyeshadow and use a dark kohl pencil to line your upper and lower lash line, then gently smoke it out with a brush. For that added drama, give your upper and lower lashes a generous coat of jet black mascara. As for the face, use a light shimmery blush or bronzer to highlight your cheek bones. Complete the look with a nude lipstick and gloss for that added shine.
4. Sultry and romantic
First off, apply foundation and conceal wherever necessary. Focus the concealer underneath your eyes to brighten up the area, then powder to mattify your face. The key to this look is bold eyes and lips, so fill in your brows to give it a fuller and more darker shape. Then, use a black kohl pencil and line your eyes with a thicker line on the upper lash line and blend it with a brush to smoke the colour out. Also, line your bottom lash line and then apply a generous coat of mascara. For that extra va-va-voom, put on some dramatic fake lashes. Apply a highlighter on the bridge of your nose, above the cheekbones, in the middle of your forehead and above the cupid’s bow to bring out your features. Use a light bronzer as blush and sculpt your cheekbones. Finally, complete the look with a lip liner, red lipstick and gloss.
5. Last-minute statement look
If you’ve really got no time to lose, start with your basic foundation and concealer, then powder to mattify your face. Lightly fill in your brows according to your natural brow shape and give your lashes a generous coat of mascara. As you apply mascara, lightly stamp the wand onto your upper lash line to make it look like you’ve got eyeliner on. Finally, line your lips with a lip liner and fill in with some bright red lipstick.
