Accidentally dropped your eyeshadow and now it’s cracked or shattered? Don’t toss it aside just yet! That poor baby can be fixed up to be as good as new and we’re showing you how to do it. It’s super simple to do and you’d be glad that you’ve saved your eyeshadow!
You’ll need: Your broken eyeshadow, some methylated spirit or rubbing alcohol, an orange stick and some tissue paper
Step 1: Use the orange stick to break up the chunks of eyeshadow in the pot. Make sure to take your time and do that thoroughly until all you’re left with is powder.
Step 2: Pour a few drops of methylated spirit into the pot, then use the orange stick to mix the eyeshadow to form a thick paste. When you have your paste, tap the pot onto the surface you’re working on firmly to let out all the air bubbles and make the eyeshadow more dense. Let it sit for two hours so that the methylated spirit will evaporate.
Step 3: Grab a piece of tissue paper, fold it in half and place it over the eyeshadow. Then, use your fingers to press gently on the eyeshadow to create a flat surface at the top.
You’re done. If you’re a little of a neat freak like some of us, use the tissue paper dipped in some methylated spirit to clean up the lid and the edges of the pot. No more messy eyeshadow because now, it looks brand new!
