5 Signs That Say You Should Take A Break From Dating

Dating can sometimes get a little tiring – a little too tiring than one would like for it to be. With the busy lifestyle that we all lead nowadays, it’s suffice to say that if dating was a little easier then maybe we all wouldn’t complain so much. But who are we kidding, that might never be the case and we all should just accept that dating can often be a nuisance. If it really has reached to this point for you, maybe you should consider taking a break from dating and just chill. Here are some of the signs that might indicate you need a vacation from the dating pool:

“What’s free time? Is that like, a thing?”
If you find yourself with no free time – consumed with work, social life and dating – then you might want to take twenty from dating. It doesn’t matter if you are in a long-term relationship, a casual one or not in one at all, “me time” is so important and everybody needs it, including you. Part and parcel of being single is having ample free time to do whatever the hell you want. So, go for it!

“All men are the same and I’ve had enough of them!”
If you find yourself being a cynic and categorising all men in one box because of the few bad apples you’ve encountered then it’s time to take it slow and spend some time alone. Being negative won’t help positive things come into your life, so take a chill pill and wait for the right guy to come along instead of being disappointed all the time.

“Fine, I will go on a date with your colleague.”
If you don’t feel like dating, then just don’t. Your heart needs to be in it and you shouldn’t be on a date just because your best friend has been bugging you about going on one with her cute colleague that she thinks will be great for you!

“I don’t know if I’m over him and what we had.”
If you’ve recently gone through a break-up, it’s a very wise decision to take a break from the dating pool and spend a lot of “me time” with yourself. You don’t want to be going on dates when all you can think about is how your ex used to take you out on dates and etc. They say that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone, but that’s not always something that you should abide by. Give yourself time to heal before getting back into the game.

“I’m just not feeling it.”
If you’re stressed out with work and feeling a little down in the dumps, then you definitely shouldn’t be dating. When you meet someone new, you want to be at your best and feel like a trillion bucks. It’s hard for someone to think you’re awesome if you yourself don’t think you’re all that great.
