5 Praises About The Nifty Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch

In an Android nation, Samsung is the cool Emperor that rules it. So, when they came out with the Samsung Gear S2 Smartwatch, we were so psyched to see what notable features this gadget entailed. Will this watch make you want to swap your normal watch with it so that your life can somewhat be made easier? The answer in short – YES!

Here are five things I definitely love about the Gear S2:

The aesthetic – A lot of smartwatches are generally bulky so, I am immediately put off by them. While the Samsung Gear S2 is not exactly thin it’s not insanely thick either. Like me, you will eventually get used to the bulky feel that the watch gives. The Smartwatch comes in two different designs: A standard design and the premium-fell classic. Both looks well thought out, modern and perfect for the average urbanite. Lightweight and sleek, the Gear S2 boasts a no-fuss design that will suit everybody’s personal style. Also it features interchangeable wristbands.

The choices – The Samsung Gear S2 is no newbie. You can access a plethora of apps from your Smartwatch, like check your schedule, check out the weather forecast, view your gallery, access your music player, the choices are endless. Samsung’s Tizen platform will also allow for you to access fitness apps like Nike+Running, Twitter and a few others. Apparently an Uber app is also in the works!

The customising option –  When it comes to customising your Gear S2 Smartwatch, the choices are not limited. It all depends on your personal style and aesthetic preferences. There are 13 analog and digital watch face designs for you to choose from, and of course change the straps to whichever that matches your style best. Who says Smartwatches had to be boring?

The S Health function – The whole point of having a Smartwatch is for it to have functions that you normally wouldn’t have on an average watch. With the Gear S2, you’re able to track your mobility with graphics to show your monitored progress. You can also manually log your fitness activity through its type, so the function can give you a more accurate result. Another cool thing about the S Health function has got to be the motivational messages that pop up once you’ve been idle to long. The messages encourages you to get moving! You can also watch your water and caffeine intake through the Smartwatch! Talk about a win!

The seamlessness – I think that a lot of other Smartwatches try too hard to impress that it almost makes it very difficult to use them, well for me at least. But that is not the case with the Gear S2 because you can access your notifications, messages and call logs from your wrist. Want to send a quick reply text? No worries as the Gear S2 has pre-set messages, voice notes, and even emojis. Talk about easily accessible and pretty darn convenient. The notifications are subtle enough to not be obtrusive, and depending on which you prefer, you can choose from a weaker vibration mode or a stronger one.

Overall verdict of the Samsung Gear S2: I love it and without sounding biased it is probably the best Smartwatch there is out there. I’m far from a gadget expert but I like things that work well and products that deliver on all its promises. The Samsung Gear S2 is all that it’s cracked up to be and more. From its clean design to its clever rotating bezel, the Gear S2 is fit for every urbanite that’s constantly on the go. The fact that its aesthetically pleasing is a definite plus point!

The Samsung Gear S2 retails for RM1,399 and the classic Gear S2 is going for RM 1, 599. The Gear S2 comes in Dark Gray, and Silver, and as for the Gear S2 Classic, it comes in black. For those looking to purchase changeable straps, they’re available for purchase as well. For more Samsung Gear S2 specifications, visit Samsung’s official website.
