Describe your personal style:Well I don’t actually have one, I think I’m a chameleon. It depends on how I’m feeling or where I’m going then the outfit comes together. I enjoy mix and matching branded goods and locally-design items. I usually use normal tops and pair them with nice shoes or nice bags. If not I’ll probably be rocking Havaianas. When it comes to proper fashion events I will put in more effort rather than my day-to-day wear.
What do you think about the fashion scene in KL: I think people dress to express themselves. You get a lot of hipsters and then the girls who dress like TV show characters. Fashion in KL is always surprising because it always changes. Malaysia is evolving by going more global doing fashion shows abroad like STYLO or Islamic Fashion Festival. Everyone always want to feel comfortable in the clothes they wear so it shouldn’t matter to others. People are starting to support local designers which is a good thing because they do some good work.
Your favourite place to shop: Since I study overseas, I usually shop around there and U.S. is definitely my favourite especially LA because it’s cheaper than NYC; Vegas is good too. I love shopping in London and Rome too. In Malaysia I basically shop at Yadotsa, Sofira, TopShop, Warehouse and Givenchy. I would always consult my friends before I pick an outfit.
