Somehow I’m still glad I haven’t gotten myself addicted to the popular Facebook game FarmVille. It seems that the game is so popular that American Express is now offering its card users the chance to exchange their reward points on their card for credits on the game itself! It’s not all that bad actually, if one really loves to spend real life money to buy some virtual goods you can’t even use, exchanging credit card points is definitely a much better alternative! The denomination seems expensive though, for 200 points, assuming it’s only applicable in the States and USD$1 is equivalent to 1 point, 200 points would mean more than 600 points and all you get is $2 credited into the game. It’s probably unfair for me to judge just how much into the game people can be but still, no thanks! I’d rather exchange my points for some real vouchers and do some real shopping.
