We left off the first half of Best Dating Spots in Kuala Lumpur back in May, but we took the time to try out a couple of other places recommended by friends. This time, we’re including a few chic and budget-friendly places, and also quirkier spots for those of you who want something more vibrant.

YEAST Bistronomy, Bangsar
A French restaurant is where you want to fully enjoy those sweet moments together. The decor at combines a homey touch to an elegant and fun ambience. Yeast offers the best original French fusion cuisine and coffee and we honestly think it’s the perfect place for a romantic brunch. It can get a little busy during dinner time, but it’s best to book a table outside at night. Savor in some of their delicious French pastries. We highly recommend the profiteroles and attempt feeding it to your lover!

Botanical
Botanical is one of the BIG Group’s latest addition to their string of food outlets! Focusing on meat-less cuisine, vegetarian or health-conscious couples can indulge in their impressive menu without feeling any guilt after dining. The restaurant is designed with simplistic and elegant décor filled with dark-wood furnishings and rich-green walls creating a soothing energy when seated. An outdoor area is located in the middle of the mall reminiscent to an outdoor garden party with scenes of greenery and tranquillity, and we highly recommend a seat outside. Get a sofa chair and snuggle up to each other comfortably while you chat the night away.

Baci
Baci is a cozy Italian cafe nestled in a trendy neighborhood of Ara Damansara. Known for its fresh-brewed coffee and delicious light-hearted meals, the store also offers a relaxing ambience that truly deserves to be appreciated. The meals are extremely affordable, and it’s perfect for young budget-conscious couples. There’s also a Japanese-style sitting area where you can sit cross-legged as you enjoy your pasta and coffee!

Another den by the BIG Group, Estate at The Intermark does not only a offer delicious food, but it’s a perfect spot for very outgoing couples who prefer going for something other than a quiet romantic setting. With live bands, fairly avant garde decor, it’s also a great spot to have double-date with your other coupled friends. Music, cocktails and an artsy New York vibe? Why not?

The Warehouse Gallery & Café
Another recommendation for quirkier, artsy couples – The Warehouse. If candlelight dinners isn’t your cup of tea, head down to the industrious area of Chinatown and surround yourself in some art! The Warehouse used to be a textile warehouse, but now it’s turned into a hangout spot for carefree youths who want to absorb the alternative culture that KL has to offer! Whether it’s drinking beers and meeting new people, you can also sit down and catch the open-mic sessions they have quite often.
