The Miss Universe Malaysia 2014 pageant kicked off with its first round of shortlists recently. With a list of star-studded list judges like Datuk Yasmin Yusuff, Amber Chia, Maslin Roslan and Elaine Daly, 40 finalists were picked out of 100 contestants.
“Aside from injecting more focus and professionalism, there will be more interactive involvement from the public this year. You’ll not only get to follow the 40 finalists but help them out by voting online from 18 – 31 July,” said Elaine Daly, Pageant Advisor and Mentor.
But how far would you go to support your contestant? For the first time in Malaysia, fans of the contestants can download the The Next Miss Universe Malaysia TNMUM14 mobile application for free from the App Store and Google Play. If one voting once isn’t enough, you can also solve puzzles and be entitled to cast more votes.
“We want to actively change perceptions when it comes to picking the appropriate individual; so public opinion matters. You can now vote for your favourite shortlisted contestants via the TNMUM14 app which will run for two weeks,” said Daly.
