The world is now concerned about the well-being of the late Cory Monteith’s co-star and girlfriend, Lea Michele.
Cory and Lea have been dating for over a year now. She costars with him on Glee, and she was even there for him when he was admitted to rehab, so we can’t imagine just how devastated she must be.
Cory, who played puppy-eyed heartthrob Finn Hudson in Glee died in his hotel in Vancouver shortly after noon, when he didn’t check out.
Lea’s rep released a statement recently, saying: “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time”.
Sources also say that Lea’s “absolutely hysterical and completely inconsolable”. A friend of hers also told sources that she was shaking when she heard the news. Lea was in Mexico when the news of her boyfriend’s death reached her.
Matthew Morrison, Cory’s co-star who plays Mr Shuester on Glee, paid tribute to the actor in a performance. He sang “What I Did for Love” from the Broadway classic A Chorus Line. Sources say he was very emotional on stage.
A fan or not, Glee has inspired many people from all walks of life to express themselves in music and dance. The lead characters are practically role models to the kids of today, and it’s no denying that Cory Monteith’s death has affected everyone around the world.
