Male transvestite, Niwat Sangmore, 25, became a national Internet celebrity, garnering over 544,000 likes on his Facebook page, “Sexy Pancake”, in just two months.
Subsequent to his stardom, Niwat has made numerous television appearances and received continuous work offers in several locations including Bangkok, mainly in lady-boy dance shows. He’s even publishing an autobiography that’s set to be released this year!
Niwat goes by the nickname “Pancake” and shares a small house and plot of land with his grandmother and a cow in Khon Kaen, Thailand.
“I had the feeling of being a woman since my childhood,” he said. As a child, Niwat enjoyed sports and was athletic at school. Inspired by a Thai transgender-driven comedy called “The Iron Ladies”, Niwat wanted to be an athlete. But at sixth grade, Niwat dropped out of school due to lack of funds, and took on hard laboring work to support his grandmother.

Despite not going to school, Niwat was fortunately home-school and managed to earn a high school diploma through adult education. The money he collected from his labour work, he bought four cows, resold three of them, and then spent part of the money renovating his ouse.
Niwat’s claim to fame started when a close friend of his, Sura Narin, came up with the idea of posting pictures on “Sexy Pancake” of Niwat posing in a bikini in the Thai countryside.
The page was set up in May, and within two months, the page has gained a huge following among Thais. Subsequent to the page’s huge following, Niwat receives numerous gifts from fans, and has been invited to perform at many events.
