We believe it’s a historical day for same-sex marriage. The US Supreme Court has officially ruled that married same-sex couples would be entitled to federal benefits and, by declining to decide a case from California, effectively allowed same-sex marriage there.
“Today’s Federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) ruling is a historic step forward for #MarriageEquality. #LoveIsLove,” US President Barack Obama tweeted after the big announcement yesterday.
California is the 13th US state where gay marriage is legal, including New York, Wshington D.C., Minnesota, and Iowa. So, in celebration of marriage equality, we’re sharing a list of our favorite celebrities who came out of the closet.
