With the crazy API levels of the haze, we’ve all been advised to put on the N95 mask. Well, though luck trying to buy them because they’re apparently sold out. But no matter what you’re using to cover your mouth and nose, you still have the option to wear your make-up. And what’s really fabulous is that you get to amp up the colors around the haze without having to worry if you look like a fool.

On top of just creating colorful eye make-up looks to complement your mask, these looks are also inspired by the phenomenas of the haze. Using full vibrant colors, you can create these looks in just a jiffy without much maintenance at all. Here are three fun looks that are appropriately titled to help your eyes pop when you’re going out to brave the haze.

Forest Fires
Taking cue from all the trees being set on fire, we’ve decided to use two key colors – green and orange. Start with a bright orange eyeshadow.around the lid. We used Maybelline’s 24-HR Color Tattoo in Fierce & Tangy and then draw a subtle cat line using a bright green eyeliner. You can use some neutral eyeshadow to contour your eyes a little so it looks like it’s blending in.

Ultra-Violet Rays
Purple is a great color to rock, day or night. Get a long-lasting purple cream eyeshadow and spread it over your lid with your finger. We used Maybelline 24-HR Color Tattoo in Painted Purple for its grapey effect. Take a dark brown eyeshadow and line the waterline of your upper eyelid. Then take a bronze eyeliner and draw a thin subtle line on the inner corners of your upper and lower eyelid for dimension. Finish off with mascara, and voila!

Smokey Smog
You can’t go through a haze without a nice smokey eye, right? Inspired by the dusty gray shroud, this look is perfect for a night out during the haze. Staying true to the deep tones of the haze, opt for a shimmery gray cream eyeshadow and apply over the lid. Maybelline 24-HR Color Tattoo in Audacious Asphalt was our go-to color! Then take a blue eyeliner and draw a cat eye. Use a purple eyeliner to draw in the water line of the upper lid. This creates a contouring effect, making your eyes appear bigger. Last but not least, we used Urban Decay’s Moondust Eyeshadow in Moonspoon, a medium-gray with silver sparkle, and applied up to the brow bone for some extra dimension.
