Just yesterday, a Pakistani security guard was charged at the Ampang magistrate court for murdering the American pastor. Shabaz, 25, along with four others who are still at large, is alleged to have murdered Ginter at his home in Taman Sri Ukay, Ampang Jaya.
No plea was recorded from Shahbaz, who faces the mandatory death sentence if convicted under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Magistrate Ayuni Izzaty Sulaiman has fixed July 18 for mention pending the post-mortem report.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz was sentence to three months jail after he pleaded guilty to overstaying in the country by 49 days.
Ayuni ordered Shahbaz to serve his sentence immediately.
He was charged with committing the offence at Menara IMC, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Dang Wangi, at 5.08am on May 29 under Section 14 of the Immigration Act 1959/63 and punishable under Section 15 (i) (c) of the same act.
