About 42 people died when a bus caught fire and burst into flames in south-east China.
Images on Chinese media showed a heavily burnt-out shell was all that remained of the bus, which caught fire in the city of Xiamen. 33 people survived the incident.
One passenger told Xinhua news that she smelled gasoline, before the fire quickly spread through the bus.
Officials said the bus caught fire 500 metros away from the Jinshan bus stop, a residential area of the city. Another local fire official said bodies were piled up inside the bus.
The accident is still under investigation.
