Have you ever been in a situation where your bathe skin is cover with hair after your shower, or as you run your hands through your hair and you pull out so much hair? Here are some basic, simple and natural ways to avoid your ‘crown of glory’ from falling!
1. Drink Lots of Water.
You’ve heard this one before! Water intake is important in general. But it is especially important to maintain hair growth s the hair shaft is comprised of one quarter water. Make it a habit to drink at least six to eight cups of water a day to ensure your hair is healthy.
2. Oil Treatment.
You can use any natural oil, we recommend olive or coconut. Just heat it up until it’s warm (not hot, just warm), and massage it into your scalp. Leave it in your hair for about an hour. You can either just tie it up or put on a shower cap after if you don’t quite fancy the smell. Just wash your hair like you would normally do, however it may take two washes to get the oil out, but it’ll be worth it. Do this once weekly.
3. Daily Head Massage.
Sitting down at work or while watching tv, just massage your scalp for a few minutes daily. Not only does it feel good, it helps stimulate circulation in your scalp which keeps your hair follicles active. You can even add a few drops of lavender or almond oil to help improve circulation. Also, these oils will keep your hair smelling fresh!
4. Avoid Washing Hair with Hot Water.
A lot of people love their hot baths! But you should avoid really hot water when washing hair, as it opens the pores that strips off your scalp oil and makes your hair follicles more brittle. This will cause your hair to easily break off and fall. Wet hair damages much easier than dry hair.
5. Don’t Brush Wet Hair
Avoid brushing your hair when it’s wet, it will cause your hair to pull and break. You can however run a wide tooth comb gently through your hair to detangle it.
