Ipoh-born international star, Michelle Yeoh was recently being honoured with the “Excellence in Asian Cinema Award”.
According to our source, the star of who has played her role as Aung San Suu Kyi in the biopic “The Lady” was being honored at the Asian Film Awards opening on Sunday night. The star said she’s happy to receive the award in Hong Kong and said “I hope it’s not their way of telling me that I need to retire?”
Meanwhile, Michelle Yeoh is confirmed to stars in the “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” sequel along with Donnie Yen. But she says she’s yet to see a script or other plans on the project. The 2000 original was directed by Ang Lee and won four Academy Awards.
