6 Easy Tricks to Flatten Your Tummy

There’s no denying that just about every woman would love to have a smooth and flat belly surface. But on top of your regular workout routine, your daily habits and the food you eat could contribute to you having more belly fat. Here are six amazing secrets to a flat belly.

1. Stand-up Straight and Do Pilates 
Did you know that standing up tall can make you look 5 pounds slimmer? Pilates can improve your posture, strengthen your abs and back muscles, while toning your body,while working on your core muscles, making your stronger.

2. Stay Away from Gassy Foods
Ever noticed why some foods make you bloat and fart like no one’s business? Well there are foods that are considered ‘gassy’ and those foods include legumes, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, onions, peppers and citrus fruits. You probably may not know that chewing gum can also contribute to bloat. When you chew gum, air gets trapped in your GI tract, causing pressure, bloating and expansion.

3. Avoid Salt and Take Vinegar
Table salt, salt-based seasonings and highly processed foods adds on to your water weight, making you feel more sluggish and bloated. The taste of vinegar may be horrible, but research suggests that its sour taste and strong odor can fight fat. In a study, people who consumer either 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar had lost weight, visceral fat and even dropped their waist circumference.

4. Cut-down on Refined Carbohydrates
Decrease your carb intake and trade it in for whole grains. Dieters in a study found that people who ate whole grains shed more abdominal fat compared to those who ate none.

5. Amp up on Cardio
Start burning fat around your belly and abdominal area with everyday cardio like running, swimming, dancing and cycling. Kick your heart rate up and you’ll be able to burn fat, even when you’re not exercising. We highly recommend Zumba too.

6. Lower Your Sugar Intake 
Cut off excess sugar from your diet through juices, cereals, and snack bars. Try cutting off up to 500 calories from your daily diet every day, and replace your sweet drinks with lemon or mint-infused water, or eat plain yogurt with oatmeal and fresh fruits.
