We’re noticing another trend that’s been floating around for awhile now – beanies! That’s right. Once upon a time, beanies were for only winter and when you go out skiing and what-not. But not anymore! It’s now become a new hip and famous fashion statement.
Knowing that we live in Malaysia, and the humid weather may stop us from wearing uber thick cotton beanies, there are other options to go with as well.
Are you into this new beanie trend? We defiantely are! But ofcourse, there are certain types of beanies that are okay to wear out, and some that are just a total fashion fail. So do it right!
1. Cuffed Beanies
These beanies are usually around 12 inches long, which allows you to flip it when you wear it to create a cuff around your head. This is the kinda beanie you would wear if you’re going for a very hipster chic look with a rugged touch.
2. Ear Flap
This is a beanie that we wouldn’t suggest for you to wear in this country – but if you do, make sure you do it for the right event. Basically, it’s a normal beanie with an extra flap around the ears (which is what will make it a little too warm to pull off in our tropic country).
3. Visor Beanies
Originally made to protect your face from falling snow, or as a shield from the sun while on the slopes while skiing. But now, it has been designed as a fashion item and you can consider it as a mix of a cap and a beanie – but it may not be the most flattering beanie to wear in Malaysia.
4. Animal Beanie
This is a must-have in all your closets! Everyone needs a fun animal beanie at some point or another. Why? Just because it’s the most fun item to have in your closet and if you go to a party – then you’ll end up making everyones day! Really! Try it out and tell us it doesn’t work.
5. Knit Beanie
Now this is the perfect beanie for every girl to own – it’s simple, it’s chic and you don’t have to worry about it being overly winter-like. In other words, it’s the type beanie that will fit in any scenario and weather. We love it and we hope you own one!
