The four major fashion shows that took place in New York, London, Milan and Paris has given us real insight into the key colors for the season. We foresee that bright colors look more wearable this season. We predict spring will be on nature-inspired shades, 90s bleached hues and hyper-real brights. (Source)
Without further ado, here’s a list of the top colors to wear in this spring.
Sun-Kissed Tropical Pink
We initially predicted salmon and peach would come back in trend as tropical pink, dusty rose and bubblegum pink hues was seen during New York
Fashion Week. However, the color gradually got bolder with bright pops of color such as hot pink and primary magenta. We predict the colour would be in between the colour of bright and dusty as in bleached brights or washed-out pink however, the colour was confirmed to be the bold and tropic-inspired hues.
White
White has a definite staying power in the color trends for almost every season. Shades of crisp whites were spotted on Alexander Wang’s show, as well as Marni and Burberry. Furthermore, Alexander Wang’s phenomenal collection with glow-in-the- dark features also makes it another reason that white colour as a head-to-toe application.
Dramatic Green
Sea foam green is no longer the it-colou for the designers as they have opted for a green that is more sophisticated and dramatic. The new green is aimed to last longer than it would as the colour inspire the new aesthetics. Prada and Marni were able to appreciate the beauty of the new green and created head-to-toe outfits with their own version of dramatic green.
Faded Pastels
Also known as the ‘Barely There’ palette, faded pastels are like pastel colors that’s a little faded out from their usual vibrant hues. As the last spring and summer collections focused on vibrant pastels, the colors this season are more washed-out or bleached. We’re looking out for pale and cool orchids, and lemon chiffon.
Hot Colors
This spring, we’re talking hot Crayola orange and cadmium red! The cool hues from last season is now coated in more vibrant and red hot . Orange still reigns supreme as the defining color for the season, and designers across Europe and America seem to be pleased with that fact.
Ocean Blue
From soft blue to the sensual shades of blue, we are definitely seeing colors inspired by the ocean blues this spring. Different shades of light blue and the most significant blue would have to be the menswear blue as seen during Paris Fashion Week. We’re definitely looking forward to ultramarine blue this season.
