In a recent survey, done by Forbes over 80% of workers said that they planned to look for a new job in the New Year and 60% of those people said that they planned to choose a completely different career path.
For the last few years more women than men have pursued their MBAs in order to make a mid-career switch. But which job offeres the most satisfaction, security and financial gain for the women? The number of women pursuing professional jobs has evolved in the last 50 years.
According to job expert, Laurence Shatkin, Ph.D, who is the author of ‘Best Jobs for The 21st Century’ – he has analyzed and uncovered what the best jobs for women in 2013 are. Using a survey based on the National Survey College Graduates. So what are these jobs?
From the looks of it, several of the roles are in health care, which is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the US and is also dominated by women. But there are other job scopes too. Take a look at the best jobs for women in 2013:
1. Health Professionals
Whether it’s a registered nurse, a pharmacist or even a Dietician – this health line has grown drastically over the years, and it’s something majority of the women around the world are interested in.
2. Medical Scientists
If you’re not in healthy care, then try out being a medical scientist – it may not be hands on in the hospital, but it is still satisfying in the sense that what you are creating is helping. Learning new technology may be considered as a thrill to women.
3. Lawyers & Judges
The demand for female lawyers and judges has risen through out the years and it’s not wonder why. This position creates authority and well, a women’s opinion is always good in any situation, right?
4. Psychologists
There’s just something about how women respond and relate to certain situations that make the position as a psychologist more valuable More and more women have also become more interested in this field through out the years.
