Girls, this news might just convince your man to finally take you on a Paris trip: remember the 2006 World Cup finals when French player Zidane gave Italian defender Marco Materazzi an angry headbutt? Well, this ‘move’ is now a statue in Paris! France24 reports that the 5 metre bronze statue has been unveiled in the French capital, outside the Pompidou Centre.
French supporters were left devastated six years ago when their captain, Zinedine Zidane, headbutted the Italian player during the finals and was sent off from the field. Later on, Materazzi admitted that he had provoked Zidane by making comments about the Frenchman’s sister.
Created by Algerian Adel Abdessemed and will be on display until end of January. If your man is a footie fan, then he might just want to fly over to see this memorable statue!
