To get a real taste of Asia, Hong Kong is the place to be. A cosmopolis with a fusion of the West and East, Hong Kong has something for everybody! The child at heart, to the fashionista, and the trail blazer seeking adventure. Here’s our list of 8 places one must see when it Hong Kong!

Victoria Peak
Get a bird’s eye view of Hong Kong, Kowloon and Victoria Harbour at 1810 ft above sea level! A premier destination for tourists, Victoria Peak is a must-see when in Hong Kong,

Lamma Island
For a little adventure, head out to Lamma Island to get in touch with nature. You can laze at the beach with some friends while enjoying a barbecue, or explore some rustic villages and coastal scenery while hiking on the Ling Kok Shan trail. You can also try hiking in the Kamikaze cave, a secluded reminder of the Second World War where Japan’s kamikaze teams were deployed on suicide missions.

Ocean Park
Ocean Park is a massive oceanarium one must vest when in Hong Kong, and it will be an absolute treat if you’re bringing your kids, or you’re simply keen on marine-life. There are aquariums of sharks, reefs, and even take a ride in the amusement parks. If you’d like you can even give your family a chance to swim with the dolphins.

Avenue of Stars
Hong Kong captured the attention of the Asian market in the 20th century with their efforts in the film industry. Head to the Avenue of Stars and say hello to the life-size bronze statue of action hero, Bruce Lee, and catch a multimedia show called A Symphony of Lights, where the entire city lights up!

Shek O Beach
Hong Kong may not be known for it’s beaches, but if you are in fact looking for some timeout from the hubbub of this cosmopolis, Shek O beach may just be what you’re looking for – a clean beach nestled away in a suburbs. The view at the beach is to die for, with lush mountains staring down at you. The water’s absolutely clear, but be careful as there are jellyfishes in the ocean.

Ladies’ Market
Imagine, a whole kilometer stretch of shoes, clothes,accessories and more. Get your haggling skills to work at the Ladies’ Market on Tung Choi Street and shop from souvenirs, home furnishing, bags and more. If possible, do it on a weekday, and start early.

Po Lin Monastery and the Big Buddha
Just on the hills of Lantau Island, lies the extraordinary Tian Tan Buddha statue, sitting over 34 meters high, that draws Buddhist pilgrims from all over Asia. Opposite the statue, list the Po Lin Monastery, which is Hong Kong’s most important Buddhist sanctums, home to devout monks. For a little peace and solace, the monastery is the place to be.

Lan Kwai Fong
As Hong Kong’s premier party hotspot, the street is also teaming with over 90 diverse restaurants and bars. Party the night away on Lan Kwai Fong with people from all over the world, and perhaps brush shoulders a local celebrity or two?
