It’s date night for you and your loved one! But instead of reserving a dinner for two at an expensive restaurant, how about doing something that will rekindle that chemistry you both have. It doesn’t always have to be about sitting down in front of a table – Intimate moments come from every direction. It’s a simple matter of how you channel that situation and make it worth while. So, here are 5 new ideas that you and your darling should give a try for your upcoming date night!
Watch The World Wake Up
If there’s a nearby hiking spot that’s safe, wake up really early before the sun comes up and hike up the hill to find the perfect spot to watch the sun rise. Get your hiking boots, torch lights and insect repellant ready and head out as two lovers in the dark to see a new dawn. Bring along some water, a flask filled with hot coffee, and some food in a container to have a small picnic while you’re up here. Don’t bother wearing anything pretty since the focus of this activity would be to enhance your trust and communication as a couple.
Don’t forget to check the weather forecast. But even if it rains, wouldn’t that just make it even more romantic?
Midnight in Paris.. At home
Well, not literally in Paris. If he can’t bring you to Paris, Paris can come to you, right? Spend a little time and put your DIY arts-and-crafts skills to practice by creating your own version of Paris in your own living room. There’s no need to limit yourself to Paris. The idea is to recreate something that’s both romantic and fun for the both of you. If you’re on a budget, simply get a pretty poster of the Eiffel Tower, frame it up close to where you’ll be dining, then decorate your plants in your home with amber lights and don’t forget to light up lots of candles and some scented ones, too.
Play romantic French music and wear your best dress to look as chic as Parisienne women do! Don’t forget the lacy lingerie too!
Hold Hands and Lend a Hand
If you both love animals, spend a day together at the animal shelter to help care for dogs. Alternatively, do the same with a home for the elderly or even a centre for children. This activity can help you create a tighter bond with your partner, and it’ll eventually leave you feeling satisfied with yourselves. Remember that love is not limited to being romantic – it surrounds us.
Strangers in a New World
Take note from Modern Family’s Phil and Claire Dunphy as they decide to take on new roles to spice things up on Valentine’s Day as ‘Clive and Juliana’. Roleplaying can certainly make a date night more exciting. It can almost be like a first date all over again. Even if one of you can’t take it seriously, just have some fun with it. Laugh and remember that you’re just doing things together again, enjoying each other’s company!

Soak Up The Sun
Take a weekend trip to the nearest beach and spend the entire day relaxing under the sun. Instead of reading a book, have a picnic together, take a stroll with your footsteps on the sand, and remember to do as many things that will keep you engaged with each other. When you’re tired, simply fall asleep on the beach and enjoy the sunset.
