To mark the 66th anniversary of Hong Kong’s own airline, Cathay Pacific Airways has unveiled its new Regional Business Class product! The airline’s new inflight product is the result of an intensive passenger-led design process where the airline’s Marco Polo Club members gave their input for the refinement of comfort, versatility and function. Every aspect was thoughtfully designed to cater to their passenger’s needs- to relax onboard and providing space to dine, work, read or watch TV.
The main feature of the new Cathay Pacific Regional Business Class is the seat which offers an extensive recline, extended leg-rest and an innovative cradle motion that ensures comfort. The seat pitch has also been increased by 2″ inches to 47″, providing more legroom for passengers. The ergonomically-designed seat articulates into a comfortable “lazy-Z” position to allow the optimum position for relaxation, and also features independent electronic controls for recline and leg rest.
Furthermore, the design of the seat ensures ample storage space for passengers and is even equipped with a universal power supply outlet to keep electronic devices fully-charged. Passengers can also charge the mobile phones and BlackBerry devices with the multi-port connector, and even an iPhone,iPod, and iPad connector to allow passengers to connect their own devices to watch videos through their personal TV.
Other exciting highlight of the Cathay Pacific Regional Business Class product include the introduction of the StudioCx widescreen on-demand entertainment system, a new feature for the Cathay Pacific’s regional fleet. Each seat is also equipped with a new and enlarged 12.1inch touch-screen monitor, a larger meal table and an extendable cocktail table that allows passengers ample space to work or dine.
The new Regional Business Class product will be installed on all of Cathay Pacific’s regional Boeing 777-200/300 and A330-300 aircraft that is due to enter service in January 2012, and in the fourth quarter of 2013, respectively.
