If you’re in Kuala Lumpur this weekend, make your way to the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre for Taste MIGF, the inaugural preview event for the 12th Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2012.
This year’s festival theme: “Classical Chefs – A Symphony of Great Cuisines” portrays chefs putting down their usual culinary tools to play classical musical instruments, such as the violin, tuba, etc. The theme aims to symbolise the roots and traditions of good and honest cooking.
Taste MIGF will give the general public and tourists alike, a chance to sample food prepared by the festival restaurants under one roof, called the “Theatre of Cuisines”. The Theatre of Cuisines will give food-lovers from all walks of life the chance to enjoy a myriad of cuisines, from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, and Kristang, and international flavours like French, Italian, Lebanese, Japanese Korean and Latin American. Taste MIGF will also feature a Gourmet Village and a range of Master Chef cooking classes headed up by Malaysian celebrity chef, Chef Wan.
To indulge in this culinary festivity, simply purchase the Taste Tokens which are valued at RM5 each. They are sold in booklets of ten at RM50 per booklet. You can purchase the Taste Tokens throughout the day at the Taste Tokens Station at the venue, or get them online at www.tastemigf.com.
