When you think of Dolce & Gabbana you think of elegance and class.. vintage designs brought forwards – and that is exactly what it’s like with Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2013 collection.
We can see that the inspiration for this collection comes from a very arcitectual standpoint – using vintage homes and classic prints on the desgins. This season, they are mixing the future and the past together. From the strippy patterns to the paint-like murals on the dresses – we’re pretty impress that it is possible to have that much detail on a design without loosing focus of the actual design.
Mixing the designs with strips not only adds that kick of modernism, but it also adds that extra spice into the entire collection – making it something that everyone can enjoy. In the designs, we also see a few peices that hold simple but detailed designs whether it’s a lace topping or a nude shade cut out.
TREND ALERT
In this entire collection, we can say that the biggest trend we see is the paint-like prints of famous art work and murals. It looks as if paints from a mural were instantly stuck onto the designs. It’s unique and different than everything else that has been show on the runway during Milan Fashion Week. We also noticed that the mid-way hemline is a big trend that is starting in this collection.
