30 to 40 ‘Buried in China Landslide’

Around 30 to 40 people were buried by a landslide in China.

The landslide took place in Zhongxing, in the southwestern province of Sichuan. It was triggered by heavy rain, as quoted by fire brigade sources. Most of China has been experiencing heavy rainfall these past few days.

Mountainous regions in China’s southwest are prone to landslides and earthquakes. [Source]
