This song is probably the first song that comes to mind when you think of Nelly Furtado. Right? We love it for different reason – but mainly, the entire beat and feel of the song just instantly lifts our mood.
2. Turn Off The Lights
Here is another song from her earlier days. This song just makes you want to move the moment it plays. Plus, the music video is pretty creative and unique. Nelly Furtado really knows how to make meaningful music with an upbeat tempo. Listen to the lyrics and you will notice how deep they really are.
3. Night Is Young
Here’s another feel-good song. The moment this song came out – it became an instant hit on the radio. Why do we love it so much? It takes us back into the realizing that life is fun – and that we can actually do what we want. Plus, the entire feel of this song is completely different than her usual songs. This is when she started to mold in with the current trends of music – using big beats to make this a club hit!
4. Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)
This song is from her upcoming album, ‘Spirit Indestructible’ – there is just something about the way she sings this song that attracts you immidiately. We honestly couldn’t tell it was her when we first heard it. Yet again, Nelly Furtado flips the page and tries something extremely new. We do hear a little more of her younger hip-hop days – perhaps that is why this song is really attractive.
5. Spirit Indestructible
Here is another single from her upcoming album, ‘Spirit Indestructible’. There are two things we love about this song- the way the song progresses from slow to a fast beat and also, the amazing costume changes through out the entire music video. We love it. There is just so much colour and culture enfused with upbeat music. Pretty interesting and daring if you ask us!
