On July 9, when it was officially announced that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were getting a divorce. Hollywood was in shock as the two had been married for about six years and in the eyes of many, they seemed to be the perfect couple.
Katie wanted the divorce and she got it. But at the end of the day, she is a woman and we certainly do know how some women tend to become extremely depressed after a divorce. Katie on the other hand looks perfectly fine – at least in the eyes of the public. She doesn’t seem like she is going through a depression but rather she looks like she is spending more time on her little angel, Suri and paying all her attention to her career.

Let us take a look at what Katie has been up to lately. MTV officially announced on Thursday that she will be Broadway-bound sometime late this year. After quite sometime, she will be appearing in her play “Dead Accounts” during this fall.
Katie also recently shot a modern adaptation of Chekhov’s, “The Seagull” and according to the Huffington Post, the production of “Molly” is expected to start sometime in August. “Molly” is a project which Holmes co-wrote and is co-producing and the shooting will kick-off in New York.

Things are also looking good for Katie from other aspects. In 2009, Katie and celebrity artist, Jeanne Yang launched a fashion line called Holmes & Yang. It was catered more for those who came from the upper class and it wasn’t doing very well. But ever since Katie got her divorce, Beverly Hills Barney told the news agency that they have been getting a lot of queries about the line from enthusiastic shoppers. September will certainly be a remarkable month for Katie as they will be showcasing their collection for the first time at the New York Fashion Week.
