Choosing The Right Bedroom Colour

Red, blue, green, yellow – you name it we love it. Don’t you agree that colours have the special power to change your mood? Usually the colour of our clothes describes how we are feeling on that particular day. If we are down, we would opt for dark coloured clothes but if we are happy, then we would pick out something brighter.

According to The Colour Association of The United States, people reach out on multiple levels of association with colours. Be it social or cultural – personal relationships are formed with particular colours .

Did you know that the colour of your bedroom also plays an important role in your daily life? Always felt like mornings was the worst part of the day for you? Then maybe it is time for you to change the colour of your bedroom.

Here are a few suggestions for you ladies. While you scroll down, do bear in mind that the colour of your bedroom is not determined by the colour of the walls only. The way you decorate it and the overall look plays an important role as well.

Green & blue

Suffer from sleeping disorders? Then natural colours which is what you should be selecting as it has the power to calm you down and to make you relax. Be very selective with the type of tones which you choose as darker tones can make your bedroom look gloomier.

Orange, yellow & pink

These colours have the special ability to boost your spirit up. If you are going through a very hard time or if you would like to feel young once again, then choose either one of these colours. Do not like the brightness? Then you could choose to have the walls in white but the rest of the things inside the room can be in these colours.

Never choose black

When it comes to bedrooms, this is the main colour which you should never use not matter how cool you think it is. Black gives out a very negative vibe and it will make your room look extremely small and dull. If you were to choose black as your bedroom colour, then you would probably wake up feeling demotivated every morning.

A simple tip when it comes to determining the colour of your bedroom is that you can always choose to mix and match. Also take into consideration the colour of your furniture so that once everything is done, your bedroom would meet the type of theme which you had in mind.
