Natalie Portman is not only an actress, but a trendsetter. Let’s see how her style has evolved through time…
She is someone who has grown up in front of the camera, starting at the young age of 16. She has gone from child model to actress and is now known as one of the greatest actress’ of this time.
While we know that her acting career has gone a long way, we want to go back in time, and see how Natalie Portman’s fashion and style has evolved through that time.
Being a natural petite size, Natalie always knew what kind of clothes would suit her. We would have to say that Natalie’s style is pretty simple and plain. Yet, there is just something about her that makes her simple outfits stand out. Don’t you think so?
In 1997, we can see that Natalie was testing the waters of fashion, with a little off-beat pattern. But then in 1998 she went back into plain and simple colours. We have to say though, Natalie Portman is someone who doesn’t need make-up to make her skin glow.
From 2002 to 2004, we can see Natalie jumping from teenager to a woman. This is the time her style started to evolve into the chic woman that we know now.
And there is no doubt that 2005 was her year. Firstly, she hit nearly every best dressed lists for the 2005 Oscars. Looking absolutely flawless in that Lavin gown (on the left).
Along with with several nominations and awards at hand, Natalie decided to make a drastic change of look. She showed every one that she is willing to do everything for her job. Yeap, she shaved her head for the movie, ‘V’ for Vendetta. Without fail, Natalie took the new hair style as a challenge, and we have to say, she did everyone proud. No one thought she could pull off the look – but she proved everyone otherwise.
We can see how Natalie Portman’s style has evolved into such a chic and classic look. Though she may not be daring when it comes to what she wears, but will make any sacrifice she needs to for her acting career. She is someone who is committed into doing what she needs to do for her work, whether it was for shaving her head for ‘V’ for Vendetta or covering her face with paint for Star Wars.
Natalie Portman is Hollywoods vision of class for both acting and style.
