For Demi Lovato‘s new music video for “Tell Me You Love Me”, homegirl got engaged, married and then dumped at her wedding by Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams – and it’s a lot more than we can take.
The Mark Pellington directed MV depicts the rollercoaster ride of a toxic relationship as the couple fall in love, fight and makeup over and over again. The plot explores the volatile side of relationships filled with insecurity as the very good-looking pair start doubting and interrogating each other over texts and interactions with strangers.

Some speculated that the video was inspired by Demi’s real-life relationship with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. “I’ve never loved anybody like I loved Wilmer—and I still love Wilmer,” she said in her recent documentary, Simply Complicated. “We decided together that we’re just probably better as friends.”
