Forget the Fast and the Furious movies – The Rock‘s next big heist could see him stealing the presidency, if a new committee has its way. Wrestler-turned-actor, Dwayne Johnson has previously proposed running for office in 2020 – initially as a joke, then later more seriously, criticizing President Donald Trump for choosing ‘noise’ over ‘poise’.
He brought up the idea during an interview with GQ when he said, “Of course, I’d consider putting my name in the hat for the 2020 election.” Whether or not he was just joking at the time, the Baywatch staar then told Jimmy Fallon that he believes he could be the relatable President the United States needs.
Although not much has changed since then, it didn’t stop someone from filing the ‘Run the Rock 2020’ campaign on Dwayne Johnson’s behalf with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to make him eligible for the 2020 election. The forms – which note that the committee is ‘NOT authorized’ – were filed by registered Democra named Kenton Tilford from West Virginia.
“I’m just a private citizen unaffiliated with Mr Johnson, but I’ve talked with many who believe he can deliver the leadership America needs,” he continued, “America is badly divided and we have a President who, in my view, is sadly not interested in uniting our country.”
Kenton Tilford hopes that by starting ‘Run The Rock 2020’, he will be able to harness that energy and help persuade Mr Johnson that America needs his leadership now.

On the flip side, what would Kanye West feel about this?
