Lipstiq checked in to the InterContinental Hotel – one of Kuala Lumpur’s most opulent 5-star hotels – for a decadent one-night staycation over the weekend. The luxurious hotel is located on Jalan Ampang and is a short LRT ride from Suria KLCC.
When you arrive at the lavish hotel, you are greeted by a stunning lobby with towering ceilings and an opulent chandelier dangling far above you, twinkling like the stars in the sky. You’ll be greeted by a melodious song performed by a pianist on a grand piano as well!
Contrary to what we expected, checking into the hotel was WAY too simple! Booking with Traveloka made checking-in a breeze, and you’d have your key card ready to access your hotel room in the blink of an eye. Lipstiq had been granted a Super King Classic Room, which was far too large for one person to remain there for a night.
The Super King Classic Room has a gorgeous king-sized bed, a desk, a flat-screen television, and a bar. The bed was really comfy to sleep in, and the pillows were simply lovely once you’d laid your head on them.
When it came to hugeness, the bathroom was no exception – it was enormous! There was a bathtub, a shower, a toilet with a bidet, and all of the standard bathroom amenities, including towels of various sizes, a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, and so on. The big two-way mirror that stared out over the room was the most unexpected of them all. Overall, the bathroom was nice and big, with all of the amenities required for a fabulous night’s stay.
The InterContinental Hotel also boasts fantastic amenities for guests to enjoy and indulge in while they are staying there. There is a large gym with a range of different equipment, as well as a swimming pool where guests may relax or swim.
Other highlights include the award-winning, exquisite, Sompoton Spa Wellness Retreat. Amidst a relaxing ambience, guests are provided amazing signature massages that mix traditional Malay techniques with Shiatsu, and Swedish and Balinese techniques.
Dining at the InterContinental Hotel is equally fantastic, including not only a bar, but a number of restaurants serving a variety of haute cuisines. The hotel’s dining options are numerous, ranging from Bentley’s Pub to Tatsu Japanese Cuisine.
Speaking of dining, the InterContinental Hotel has brought back its famous Ramadan buffet, The Warisan Kita Buffet Dinner at Serena Brasserie, which features delicacies inherited by its chefs and passed down through generations, and is available until May 1st, 2022.
