1. Start your day early
Rise and shine, sleepy head! Don’t let a few extra hours in bed get in the way of you and a flat tummy. Not only that, but late sleepers consume more salty, sugary, and fast food than early risers. No wonder there’s a bulging tummy!
2. Quit stressing
Hate to break it to you, but stress does contribute to gaining weight. I know it’s difficult not to be stressed, but stress affects not only your weight, but also your overall health. For some, the minute they stress out, they turn to food. Stress eating is a big NO. So, find alternative ways to release stress like meditating, talking to someone or doing something that distracts you for a bit.
3. Eat healthy fats
Usually, for weight loss, we try to avoid fats as much as possible. It may sound strange, but eating healthy fat can help you burn fat. Fats are necessary for a balanced diet and weight loss. Healthy fats such as Omega 3 are referred to as “good fats” because they are beneficial to your heart, cholesterol, and waistline. Fish, nuts, eggs, olive oil, and avocado are the best sources of healthy fats.
4. Walking
Finding motivation to exercise daily is definitely hard, especially when you’re not the exercising type. There is, however, a simple and easy-to-do exercise to help with weight loss: walking! You can go for a 1 to 2-minute walk every morning. And if morning isn’t the ideal time for you, try it in the evenings. You can do this walking exercise anywhere. Take the stairs instead of the escalator, walk about in your living room, or simply walk to your colleague’s table. Walking is the simplest measure you can take to help you lose belly fat. Even if it is only a short walk, it may be beneficial in the long run.
5. Eat more fiber
Adding a whole lot of fiber to your diet is the secret to a flatter stomach. Even if you don’t make any other dietary changes, eating more fiber can help you lose weight. Not only that, but fiber has additional advantages. It’s heart-healthy, good for your gut health, can lower your risk of diabetes and certain cancers, and aids in regular bowel movement (so, you’d poop frequently, which is good!) Some food that contains fiber are beans and lentils, nuts, berries, broccoli and whole grains.
6. Snack on veggies
At some point, we just crave snacks. We usually go for unhealthy snacks, which is definitely gonna lead to a flabby belly. Instead of the usual junk food, go for veggies instead. Snacking on veggies like carrots and cucumbers is one of the easiest ways to lose those belly fat. Also, preparing them isn’t that hard. Just grab some veggies, wash and they’re ready to eat!
