Even if you have the ideal product and follow a precise skincare routine, one thing will always be out of your control. As if we didn’t have enough to cope with already, facial hair is another thing us women gotta deal with. Every woman has facial hair, but some of it is thicker and grows quicker than others. This makes it difficult to apply and mix skincare and cosmetic products.
Threading, waxing, or laser procedures are some of the methods used by women to remove facial hair, but there are pros and cons to each. This is where home treatments for face hair removal might help. Women employed natural home methods to eliminate face hair in the past. They’re not only cheap, but they’re also safe, and you just need a few simple components that are readily available. Desperate to get rid of facial hairs? Try out these easy and safe homemade remedies.
1. Honey and sugar
Sugar gently exfoliates the skin’s surface, removing dead skin cells and facial hair, while honey heals and nourishes the skin, making it one of the greatest facial hair removal home treatments. To prepare this remedy, mix 1 tablespoon of honey to 2 tablespoons of sugar. Microwave the ingredients until the sugar dissolves.
Apply the paste to regions where you have undesirable facial hair and place a piece of cotton cloth over them. Allow it to cool before pulling it off in one swift move in the opposite direction of hair growth. This process is comparable to waxing, with the exception that it’s natural and inexpensive.
2. Gram flour and rose water
Gram flour has exfoliating effects and slows hair growth when mixed with rose water. Mix 2 or 3 tablespoons of gram flour with 1 tablespoon of rose water and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the paste on areas with unwanted hair and let the paste sit for at least 30 minutes. Once completely dry, rub the mask in a circular motion. You can use this remedy 3-4 times a week.
3. Rice flour, turmeric and milk
Rice flour is high in nutrients and can help with a variety of skin issues, including unsightly beard hair. Rice flour adheres to the hair and strengthens its grip as it dries. When it is wiped from the skin, the hair is uprooted as well. Turmeric is another substance that is used to stop hair from growing.
Mix 3 tablespoons of rice flour, 2 tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of turmeric. If you’re using milk powder, then add a little water for a smoother consistency. Apply this mask to the affected areas and wait for 30 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water after it’s totally dry.
4. Papaya and turmeric
Papaya includes papain, an enzyme that is known to help reduce face hair, and when combined with turmeric, the result is even greater. Mash 1 slice of papaya into a paste-like form and add half a tablespoon of turmeric. Mix them together and apply on affected region. Give a massage and let the paste sit for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Rinse well with lukewarm water. For optimal results, use this home treatment to eliminate face hair twice a week.
5. Sugar and lemon
Another way to utilize sugar – but this time by pairing it with lemon. The classic duo is commonly used to remove unwanted facial hairs. The sugar quickly sticks to the tiny hairs and effectively removes them, while the lemon gives your skin a glow.
To make a grainy paste, combine sugar, lemon juice, and a small amount of water in a mixing bowl. It may be used either cold or gently warmed until it produces a sticky paste. Apply a little coating on your undesired facial hair, rub it in for a few minutes, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water.
6. Gelatin and milk
As a home cure for removing facial hair, gelatin is safe to apply on the face. A mask mixed with gelatin and milk is very excellent in removing thicker facial hair. Just make sure to use unflavoured gelatin.
Mix 3 tablespoons of milk, a teaspoon of unflavored gelatin powder, and a few drops of lemon juice and microwave it for 15-20 seconds. Give it a good mix, then apply in an equal layer to your face. Make sure it’s not too hot. Let it dry for a few minutes before peeling it off. If you have sensitive skin, stay away from this mask.
7. Oatmeal and banana
Great for breakfast – and for your skin too.
Mash 1 banana and mix it with 2 tablespoons of oatmeal. Apply the mixture generously to the affected area and massage in circular motion. Allow the remedy to sit for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. Suitable for all skin types, this remedy can be used 2 times a week for better results.
There you have it. All natural-ingredients to solve unwanted hair issues. Another good thing about these homemade remedies is that some ingredients not only remove unwanted hair, but also leave a glowing effect on your skin. For ingredients like turmeric, you might have a slight yellowish stain on your skin – but don’t worry about it. After a wash, it’ll fade.
